Farah Khan is not only a renowned filmmaker in Bollywood but she is also famous for choreographing several hit songs. One of the hit numbers of the 90s was Pehla Nasha from the movie Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, which is still remembered at times. Initially, Saroj Khan was about to choreograph the song but she had to rush urgently to Mumbai from Ooty during the shoot. The film’s director Mansoor Khan contacted Farah and requested her to do the choreography as the delay of the shoot was causing financial losses.

Farah shared that she decided to shoot the song with Pooja Bedi in a Marilyn Monroe’s style but things didn’t go as per her plans.

In an interview with Radio Nasha, Farah Khan said, “Saroj ji was doing the song, everyone knows that. Then something happened and she had to go back to Bombay to shoot with Sridevi or Madhuri and we were in Ooty. She left and didn’t come back.”

“It was my idea to shoot Pooja Bedi in that Marilyn Monroe style. I told Pooja that when the fan goes off, you hold your skirt down. In the first shot, there was a spot boy holding the fan and when the fan was switched on, Pooja didn’t hold her skirt down and the spot boy fainted and that is the first time I saw what a thong looks like. Pooja was bindass, she didn’t care,” she added.
