Supermodel Gigi Hadid was arrested for possession of marijuana while vacationing on the Cayman Islands last week. Hadid and a friend arrived in the Cayman Islands via a private plane when officials searched their luggage. 

According to local outlet Cayman Marl Road, after officials searched their luggage, they found “ganja and utensils used for the consumption of ganja” in their possession. Gigi Hadid and her friend were brought to the prisoner detention facility, where they were ultimately freed on bail.

Last week in the Cayman Islands, she was apprehended by customs officials at the Owen Roberts International Airport. Gigi, whose full name is Jelena Noura Hadid, was reportedly charged alongside fellow American Leah Nicole McCarthy.

According to the CMR, Gigi and Leah were arrested on July 10 and then appeared in summary court on July 12, 2023, and were both fined $1,000. The reports also stated that the two were staying at Palm Heights. 

This is not the first time that Gigi has been featured in drug-related news. Gigi had to face massive trolling online after she was accused of sniffing cocaine at a Victoria's Secret event in 2015.

Gigi Hadid Rumoured To Be Dating Leonardo DiCaprio

In terms of supermodel's personal life, she is rumoured to be dating Leonardo DiCaprio. However, reports state that he has no plans to settle down anytime soon. Source cited US Weekly, "Leo is living his best life and he’s one of the happiest people [his friends] know. He has a very fulfilled life and enjoys the comforts of doing as he pleases anywhere or anytime." The source added, "some of those in Leo’s inner circle are convinced he’ll never fully settle down and get married. However, they’re not concerned about him finding the right one."
