Govinda dominated the silver screen in the 90s for his comedy roles and dancing skills. The actor is quite open about his personal life and made headlines for the same. His wife Sunita Ahuja recently made big claims about her husband. She stated that she played an instrumental role in teaching Govinda acting and dancing. Sunita also shared that she once offered a lead role in Govinda’s debut 1986 film Tan Badan. She also explained how they both used to dance together.

In an interview with The Male Feminist, Sunita said “Aaj acting kitni achi karta hai, maine sikhaya hai. Dance kisne sikhaya, maine sikhaya. (Govinda acts superb. I have taught him. Who taught him dance? I did). When we were dating, we used to dance together a lot. My sister got married to his brother-in-law, and we would compete over who danced better. The winner would get ₹50. It was always me who won!” She also shared that she was offered a lead role in Govinda’s debut movie.

Earlier, in an interview with Time Out with Ankit, Sunita said “I used to wear miniskirts initially, but Govinda expressed his discomfort with my clothing choices. For my first meeting with his mother, I decided to wear a saree to make a good impression.”

Govinda is known for his work in movies like Naseeb, Raja Babu, Partner, Coolie No. 1, Hero No. 1, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Aankhen, Swarg, Bhagam Bhag and Hum to name a few. The actor married Sunita Ahuja in 1987. They are parents of two children Yashvardan Ahuja and Tina Ahuja.
