Emraan Hashmi's next movie, Ground Zero, stars him as BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey. The actor talked about how he had to train for months and adhere to a strict diet to play his role.
Emraan Hashmi disclosed that to give his role in Ground Zero credibility, he underwent intense physical training and adhered to a strict diet. "Preparing to play an army officer a BSF Commandant, was one of the most intense and humbling journeys of my career. These men operate in the harshest terrains, under constant threat, and yet carry an unshakable sense of duty. I underwent months of physical training, followed a strict diet, and completely altered my routine to step into their mindset."
Emraan Hashmi added, "It wasn’t just about wearing the uniform; it was about earning it. What they do for our country is beyond extraordinary, and I wanted to honour that with complete authenticity."
About Ground Zero
The Ground Zero trailer has evoked strong emotions in viewers by providing a glimpse into the life of BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, who oversaw a two-year investigation. This role was inspired by one of the most important operations the Border Security Force has ever carried out in the previous fifty years. Emraan Hashmi plays the protagonist of the tale in a never-before-seen role that strikes a balance between strategy, grit, and unadulterated emotional intensity.
Excel Entertainment presents an Excel Entertainment Production, produced by Ritesh Sidhwani & Farhan Akhtar. Directed by Tejas Deoskar, the film is co-produced by Kassim Jagmagia, Vishal Ramchandani, Sundeep C Sidhwani, Arhan Bagati, Talisman Films, Abhishek Kumar, and Nishikant Roy. Ground Zero will hit the theatres on April 25, 2025.
