From blockbuster hits like Baahubali, Leo, Pushpa to RRR, South films have not only achieved remarkable success at the box office but have also earned widespread praise from both audiences and critics. Consequently, the actors have made significant inroads into the Forbes list of the highest-paid actors.
Rajinikanth (Rs150 crores-210 crores)
Rajinikanth made his acting debut in the Tamil film 'Apoorva Raagangal' in 1975 and quickly rose to stardom with his unique style and charisma. Throughout his illustrious career spanning over four decades, Rajinikanth has starred in numerous blockbuster films across various genres, including action, drama, and comedy. With an estimated net worth of approximately Rs 430 crore, Rajinikanth stands as the highest-paid South actor. Rajinikanth's latest appearance was in 'Jailer,' an action comedy that emerged as a box office hit; he reportedly commanded a fee of Rs 110 crores for the film.

With an estimated net worth of approximately Rs 474 crores, Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar, popularly known as Thalapathy Vijay, stands among the highest-paid South Indian actors. Vijay primarily works in Tamil cinema and is widely regarded as one of the most influential and bankable stars in South Indian cinema. His acting career began at a young age when he appeared as a child artist in the film 'Vetri' in 1984.
