Honeymoon Se Hatya on OTT: The gruesome Meghalaya Honeymoon Murder Case is unforgettable. On May 21, 2025, Raja and his wife Sonam arrived in Shillong and later travelled to Sohra. The couple was reported missing on May 26, triggering a large-scale search operation. On June 2, Raja’s body was found in a deep gorge near Wei Sawdong Falls, with police stating that he had been hacked to death after two sharp cuts were discovered on his head. The case dominated headlines at the time and now after months, ZEE5 has officially announced the launch of its upcoming Hindi true crime docu-series, Honeymoon Se Hatya, which is based on the aforementioned true incident.

Honeymoon Se Hatya will stream on Zee5 from January 9, 2026.
The series promises to offer a gripping and unsettling exploration of real-life crime stories, focusing on marriages that initially appeared happy and full of promise but ultimately spiralled into shocking acts of violence. Through detailed investigations and narrative storytelling, the docu-series sheds light on disturbing cases involving wives who allegedly went on to murder their husbands, examining the circumstances, motives and psychological factors that led to these tragic outcomes.
Speaking about the series, Kaveri Das, Chief Channel Officer & TV and Business Head Hindi Z5, said, "With Honeymoon Se Hatya, we are expanding our documentary slate into deeper, more emotionally charged stories.
