Mahesh Babu will soon team up with Trivikram Srinivas after 12 years for his upcoming film tentatively titled 'SSM28'. Fans are eager to get more updates about the film and now, Jagapathi Babu has finally confirmed that he will star in 'SSMB 28'. The actor also talked about his character in the film and fans will like his role.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Jagapathi Babu revealed that his character is wild and scary but also endearing at the same time.

"For it, we had to make the character wilder and scarier than what we did in Arvinda Sametha. However, it’s a very endearing character too in the Mahesh Babu film. You will start liking – be it good, bad or ugly,” he smiled, building on to the curiosity around the film and his character," he told Pinkvilla.

Meanwhile, it was earlier reported that the film has been shelved but producer Naga Vamsi dismissed the rumours. Addressing the rumours, Naga Vamsi tweeted, "If these gossip mongers can take a hike or make movies like they spread rumours, Industry can benefit. We want #SSMB28 to be a sure-shot Blockbuster and YOU TAKE OUR WORD ON IT."

He added, "It would be better to let us work at our pace in peace. Remember it is Jan 2024 release film! Fans, you loved FL, Just wait and watch on May 31st, what we are up to. THERE IS NO POETRY IN THIS STATEMENT."

Talking about 'SSMB28', the movie also stars Pooja Hegde in the lead role. Meanwhile, S Thaman is the music composer of the film. 'SSMB28' will hit the theatres on January 13, 2024.

On the work front, Jagapathi Babu will also star in 'Pushpa 2'. Talking about collaborating with Sukumar, Jagapathi Babu said he loves working with him anytime. “It’s always exciting to work with Suku (Sukumar) because you don’t know what is going to come next. Pushpa 2 is a challenge and I love challenges. Suku has given me the best characters in our earlier films and I love working with him any time. As for Pushpa, I loved the first part," he told Pinkvilla.

He further added, "It’s very exciting for me. I have always looked up to Allu Arjun. I remember, 20 years back, I saw him in a common gym, not knowing who he was. I just noticed him do all the stuff so well. And today, he is Allu Arjun – our Bunny."

Meanwhile, Jagapathi Babu was recently seen in 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' along with Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde and Venkatesh.
