Jana Nayagan OTT: Thalapathy Vijay starrer Jana Nayagan will be his last movie before entering into politics. The Telugu movie will be released in theaters on Pongal 2026. In an interesting turn of events, the movie's digital rights have been bagged by an OTT giant for a astounding amount. Yes, you read that right!
Jana Nayagan, Thalapathy 69 was set for October 2025 globally as per the orignal schedule. Nevertheless, it has been rescheduled and will now be released in theaters on January 9, 2026, which is also Pongal.

Jana Nayagan OTT Rights
Jana Nayagan's rights battle started between streaming giants Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, according to Track Tollywood. The struggle was eventually won by Prime Video, which spent an incredible Rs 121 crores to purchase the Telugu movie's OTT rights. However, no official confirmation has been made in this regards.
This Thalapathy Vijay movie is one of the priciest Indian productions, with a reputed 400 crore expenditure. Almost 30.25% of its estimated cost has been recouped through digital rights alone.

About Thalapathy Vijay's Jana Nayagan
Jana Nayagan is reportedly a remake of Bhagavanth Kesari, the 2023 smash movie directed by Anil Ravipudi. Thalapathy Vijay starrer also features Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde in the main parts. Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, Priyamani, Mamitha Baiju, Jisshu Sengupta, Monisha Blessy and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar are among the supporting cast members.
This will be Vijay's last movie because he intends to run in the 2026 Tamil Nadu elections with his recently established Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party. In response to critics who questioned the change, he even affirmed the same during a rally in February, saying that his 69th movie will be the last one in his acting career. He reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of the populace and stated that he would prefer to concentrate on politics.
