Japan Movie Twitter Review: Karthi is back on the big screen with his film 'Japan', in which the actor will portray the role of a notorious master thief. The movie has created a lot of hype among the audience ever since its announcement because Karthi has been giving back-to-back blockbusters at the box office. 'Japan' revolves around a notorious thief who steals jewellery of worth Rs 200 crore and the plot focuses on the chase between him and the police. The movie also stars Anu Emmanuel, Sunil, SD Vijay Milton and KS Ravikumar in pivotal roles.

In an interview with 123telugu.com, director Raju Murugan talked about the plot of 'Japan'. He said, "'Japan' is a character-driven film. I wrote the story keeping Karthi sir in mind. Producers Prabhu and Prakash have been good friends for a long time. I did Joker with them. They supported me in all ways. Their cooperation made Japan possible."

Talking about his experience of working with Karthi, he further added, "Karthi is a non-stereotypical actor who comes up with different films and adapts himself to all the roles naturally. He gave many suggestions while we were shooting. Karthi Garu keeps asking many questions. His questions provoked many new ideas, and it was wonderful working with Karthi sir."

On the work front, Karthi was last seen in Mani Ratnam's directorial 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' along with the ensemble star cast of Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Jayaram, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Vikram Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Rahman and R Parthiban. He also appeared in 'Mark Antony' as the narrator.

He has announced in next film tentatively titled 'Karthi 26' in which he will be seen along with Krithi Shetty.
