Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ is creating havoc at the box office, with people only rushing towards the theatres to witness the prowess of ‘King Khan’ with Atlee’s perfect direction in this Anirudh Ravichander’s musical. The film is creating new records everyday and has already crossed the Rs 350 Crore mark in India, and the Rs 600 Crore mark worldwide. One of the distinguishing facts about ‘Jawan’ is that every character inside the plot holds a different emotion, is important and are applauded for their performance on screen.
South Indian actress Priyamani essays the role of Lakshmi, who is part of Shah Rukh Khan’s deadly girl gang. A trusted member of the team, the actress however holds a grudge against the director of the film, Atlee. Her grudge stems from a viral rumour that half of the nation was subjected to in the weeks leading up to the film’s release.

Ahead of the film’s release, it was widely reported that superstar Thalapathy Vijay is set to make a cameo appearance in the film, which was a false rumour. According to a report in News18, Priyamani opened up and said that Atlee actually told her that Thalapathy Vijay was a part of the film with Shah Rukh Khan. Priyamani quickly requested him to share a few scenes with him, to which he agreed.
However, during the shoot, the actress came to terms with the truth and joked that Atlee had cheated her in this sense, making a complaint against the filmmaker, but in a positive manner. Earlier, the actress also opened up about how Shah Rukh Khan insisted on having her next to him in the dance sequence ‘Zinda Banda’ after choreographer Shobi Master placed her behind him. Shah Rukh Khan later on expressed that he had learnt the steps of ‘1234 get on the dance floor’ from ‘Chennai Express’ from Priyamani and thus wanted her beside himself.
‘Jawan’ also stars Sanya Malhotra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Ridhi Dogra, and Sunil Grover in pivotal roles. The film has an extended cameo appearance of Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt.
