Jiah Khan and Sooraj Pancholi's family will finally see closure in the Jiah Khan suicide case, where a Mumbai Court will deliver its final verdict on this matter tomorrow, April 28. According to a report published by Bar and Bench, the final arguments, in this case, were concluded on April 20, when the judge finalized the verdict date to be slated for April 28.
News portal, ETimes, successfully contacted Sooraj Pancholi's family, who chose to stay anonymous ensuring the verdict is not influenced. The family members of Sooraj Pancholi's family are positive but are feeling anxious at the same time for tomorrow.
The report in Pinkvilla stated, "Going by the merits of the case, the entire family is positive. But we are also anxious about the verdict which is slated to come out on April 28 in the Special CBI Court number 52", said one of the family members.
Sooraj Pancholi's family was asked to maintain silence on the matter and was asked not to speak to the press. However, a close friend of the actor said, "Sooraj has suffered enough. For ten years he has had a sharp sword hanging over his head. This has been hovering over his head every single moment of his life. He has not been able to enjoy anything during the last ten years."

He further said, "Whether he is working or relaxing at home or spending time with his family, the fact that he is an undertrial has followed him like a shadow. It is like being in prison without actually being in the prison."
For the unversed, actor Jiah Khan was reportedly found hanging in her home by her mother Rabia Khan. Actor Sooraj Pancholi was allegedly dating the actress was then accused in the suicide case.
Later on, during the investigation, a note was also found in Jiah Khan's room allegedly written describing her toxic relationship with Sooraj Pancholi. Thus, after her death, Jiah's mother accused Sooraj Pancholi and his family of mistreating Jiah Khan while she was alive.
Sooraj Pancholi was then booked for abetment of suicide and was also arrested by the Mumbai police, where he was later released on bail. Jiah Khan starred in films including 'Ghajini', 'Housefull', 'Nishabd' etc.
Post Sooraj Pancholi's bail on July 1, Jiah Khan's mother Rabia Khan moved to the Bombay High Court, seeking to transfer the probe to the Central Bureau of Investigation.
In 2014, the investigation was then transferred to the CBI, where next a chargesheet was filed on December 15, charging Sooraj Pancholi with abetment of suicide under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code.

Meanwhile, Sooraj Pancholi's parents Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab have stated that their son is not responsible for Jiah Khan's death. According to the report of Pinkvilla, in 2021, Sooraj Pancholi opened the case and said that he does not know how he survived the last 8 years.
He further said that his family's support has seen him through these years and that now he aims to only look ahead and move forward.
