Jigra Update: Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina are set to captivate audiences in their action-packed film Jigra, which has become one of the most anticipated movies since its announcement. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has awarded the film a U/A rating ahead of its release on October 11. The CBFC website confirms that Jigra has a runtime of 155 minutes, or 2 hours and 35 minutes.
Directed by Vasan Bala, who co-wrote the script with Debashish Irengbam, Jigra is co-produced by Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Shaheen Bhatt, and Soumen Mishra under Dharma Productions and Eternal Sunshine Productions. Satya (Alia), a young woman who has faced a challenging upbringing, finds her only remaining connection in her brother Ankur (Vedang), who is imprisoned and suffering in a foreign jail. With no alternatives left, Satya must become a hero, taking on the daring challenge of breaking him out and ensuring his safety.

In the forthcoming film, Alia and Vedang star as siblings, with their on-screen chemistry already earning praise from audiences. The trailer kicks off with a tense late-night call where Alia's character learns that her brother, Ankur (played by Vedang), has been arrested. Overwhelmed with worry, she probes him about any mistakes he might have made and if his blood tests will come back clean. The scene transitions to a courtroom in a foreign land, where Ankur looks lost and struggles to comprehend the legal proceedings against him. Fueled by determination to rescue her brother, Alia embarks on a perilous mission to reach him. In her desperation, she wonders if self-harm might persuade authorities to grant her a visit, but her pleas are met with refusals.
The trailer intensifies as she journeys to the foreign country holding him captive, embarking on a relentless quest to secure his release. Viewers are treated to thrilling action sequences, showcasing Alia as she performs breathtaking stunts, evades guards, and takes drastic steps to save Ankur, who is enduring torture in prison. Despite facing numerous obstacles, she remains undeterred, showcasing her resilience and unwavering commitment to her brother.
Jigra also stars Aditya Nanda, Manoj Pahwa, Yuvraj Vijan, and Harssh Singh in supporting roles.
