Amid rising tensions in the Middle East following a military operation by the USA, Israel and Iran, television actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee has come up with a strong message for the people of the country. In her message, she has targeted people living in India, who she claims question Indian soldiers and have a sympathetic attitude towards other countries during critical times. Although she has not named any specific people, her message has started a new debate online.

Taking to Instagram stories, Sath Nibhana Sathiya Actress Devoleena posted a long note expressing anger at those who, according to her, disrespect the country while enjoying its freedom and safety.
She wrote, “ You say you don’t belong to this country. (BHARAT). You feel no pride in our soldiers. No grief when they are martyred. You call terror attacks conspiracies. You dismiss operations as drama. You reduce victims to propaganda.”
According to her post, while these people dismiss national sacrifices, they do not hesitate to stand against their own country and even mourn for enemies. She wrote, “But to stand against your own nation, you never hesitate. You cry for enemies. You justify hatred. You question every sacrifice made to protect you – while enjoying the freedom that sacrifice gave you.”
Loyalty And Respect For The Nation
In another part of her note, Devoleena questioned the meaning of loyalty. She said people live, earn, and breathe safely in India because soldiers stand at the borders protecting them.
She emphasised that disagreement is a right, but disrespect is not. One does not have to agree with every policy, she said, but at least respect the blood shed to protect the nation. She added that this is not about blind nationalism but about dignity and gratitude.

“Jis Desh Ka Namak Khate Ho…”
Ending her message, Devoleena wrote that it is wrong to insult the soil that shelters you. She wrote, “Yaa toh jiss desh ka namak kha rahe ho usse wafadaari karlo. Yaa toh jiss desh k saath wafadaari nibha rahe ho wahan ka namak khaya karo… As simple as that.”
Although she did not directly mention the Israel-Iran conflict or Iran’s Supreme Leader, many netizens connected her post to the ongoing protests and reactions in India.
