Jr NTR and others honoured the memory of N.T. Rama Rao (also known as Sr NTR) on Thursday. On the 28th death anniversary of the legendary actor-politician Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), his family paid a heartfelt tribute at NTR Ghat in Hyderabad. The late actor's son, Balakrishna, along with grandsons Jr NTR and Kalyanram, were seen offering their respects in a solemn ceremony.

Pictures and videos circulating online capture the poignant moments as the family visited NTR Ghat early on January 18 to commemorate the iconic figure in Telugu cinema. Despite the early hour, Jr NTR and Kalyanram were greeted by hundreds of fans eager to catch a glimpse of the beloved actors. Balakrishna arrived later, showering his father's grave with flowers and engaging with those present.

NTR, who acted in numerous films and served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for seven years across three terms, left an indelible mark on Indian cinema and politics. Debuting in 1949 with 'Mana Desam', NTR received three National Awards for co-production and direction during his illustrious career. His portrayal of divine figures like Krishna, Shiva, and Rama in the 1950s earned him widespread popularity, solidifying his status as a 'messiah of the masses.'

The family tradition includes visiting NTR Ghat on both his birth and death anniversaries to pay homage to the iconic actor-politician. Each year, this ritual serves as a moment for reflection and remembrance for the family and fans alike.
