Deepika Padukone is currently basking in the success of her latest released movie Kalki 2898 AD. The movie has shattered most of the records at the worldwide box office and it will soon enter into the Rs 1000 crore club. On Tuesday, Deepika shared her reaction to the amount of love she has been receiving for her role of Sumathi in the film. The clip also features the love of her life- Ranveer Singh.

Deepika Padukone reacts to getting love for Kalki 2898 AD

Deepika Padukone took to her Instagram account to share a heartfelt video capturing her emotional response to the overwhelming reactions to her latest film. Visibly moved, she confessed, "I'm feeling utterly overwhelmed and unsure how to process my emotions." 

Her husband and actor, Ranveer Singh, also made a special appearance in the video, looking stunned and speechless after watching the movie directed by Nag Ashwin. He expressed his disbelief, saying, "It's truly mind-boggling to see a film where her character is pregnant, and she's pregnant in real life too... it's like, what's happening?!"

About Kalki 2898 AD

Kalki 2898 AD is a 2024 Indian Telugu-language epic science fiction film directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. The cast includes Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. Inspired by Hindu scriptures, this film is the first in the planned Kalki Cinematic Universe. Set in a post-apocalyptic world in the year 2898 AD, it follows a group on a mission to save Kalki, the unborn child of a lab subject named SUM-80.

The highly anticipated film Kalki 2898 AD, initially slated for release on May 9, 2024, was delayed due to ongoing production work. However, it finally hit theatres worldwide on June 27, 2024, in various formats including standard, IMAX, 3D, and 4DX. The film shattered numerous box office records, achieving unprecedented success for a Telugu and Indian film.
