Kangana Ranaut recently posted on her Instagram Stories a previously recorded video of filmmaker Karan Johar responding to her 'movie mafia' comment on his show Koffee With Karan and stating that he has no interest in collaborating with her. On Saturday, Kangana shared an edited clip that includes Karan's statement and her reaction.

Sharing the clip on her Instagram stories, Kangana wrote, "Chacha Chaudhary thanks for these frivolous outbursts when I establish myself as a filmmaker and producer...Will rub these in your face..."

During an event at the London School of Economics in 2017, Karan Johar had discussed Kangana and stated, "When she said 'movie mafia' what does she mean? What does she think we are doing? Sitting and not giving her work? Is that what makes us mafia? No, we do that by choice. I do that because maybe I am not interested in working with her."

The edited clip that Kangana posted on Instagram also featured a segment of her speaking at an India Today event, where she said, "He said I am jobless and looking for job from him or something like that. I mean look at my talent and look at your movies. I mean really?" This was in response to a statement made by Karan, suggesting that Kangana was unemployed and seeking work from him, which she found to be dismissive of her talent compared to his movies.

In the past few years, Kangana and Karan have exchanged several jibes aimed at each other. More recently, during a conversation with Dax Shepherd on his podcast Armchair Expert, after Priyanka Chopra shared that she had experienced being "cornered" in the industry, with people not casting her and having conflicts with others, Kangana, reacting to her statements, tweeted, "Truth remains Cruella has done big favour on us by bullying and isolating us... PC became a Hollywood star and I produced and directed my own film which is releasing this year..."

"This obnoxious, jealous, mean and toxic person should be held accountable for ruining the culture and environment of the film industry which was never hostile to outsiders in the days of AB or SRK.His gang and mafia PR should be raided and held accountable for harassing outsiders...," she added.

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut will next be seen in Emergency, which she is also directing. In the period movie, the actress will be essaying the character of the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The flick also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Milind Soman and many others.
