Kanguva OTT Release Update:  Suriya and Bobby Deol starrer Tamil movie has been moderately performing at the box office. The film was released in theatres on November 14, 2024. The fantasy action drama has been made on a budget of Rs 300 crore but the film has earned Rs 67.50 crore till now. As the movie is struggling at the ticket windows, it is expected to land on OTT much earlier. So, know when can you watch the movie on OTT. 

When And Where To Watch Kanguva? 

Prime Video has acquired the digital rights of Kanguva. Reportedly, the OTT giant has bought the streaming rights of the film for a whopping amount of Rs 100 crore. As the film could not perform well at the box office, it will be released on OTT in four-week windows of theatrical release. Yes, Kanguva will be released on Prime Video in the second week of December. If reports are to be believed, Suriya’s movie will be released on December 13. But there is a major twist, the south versions of the film will be released in Dece and the Hindi version is slated for January release. 

Prime Video announced the news of acquiring the OTT right of Kanguva. The tweet read, “A story that travels 500 years from 1700’s to 2023 about a Hero who has to fulfil a mission left unfinished. #Kanguva available post-theatrical release. #AreYouReady #PrimeVideoPresents.” 

About Kanguva

The story focuses on two timelines which are poles apart. The movie begins in 2024 with a bounty hunter and his rival businesswoman. It is then focused on the male protagonist who meets a young boy with whom he shares a deep bond which takes the plot to 1070. The film then shows a man named Kanguva who saves people after his village has been attacked by Romanians. The movie features Suriya Sivakumar, Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Aarash Shah, Karthik Sivakumar, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley and Natarajan Subramaniam in pivotal roles. Kanguva marks the Tamil debut of Disha Patani and Bobby Deol.
