Kannada film producer Soundarya Jagadish passed away on Sunday at the age of 55. Authorities suspect that the cause of his death might be suicide. According to reports from the news agency PTI, he was discovered deceased at his home in Bengaluru's Mahalakshmi Layout.

Jagadish had reportedly tried to end his life by hanging, though the motive behind this drastic action remains unclear. Despite being rushed to the hospital, doctors pronounced him deceased. A close friend mentioned that Jagadish did not have any prior health concerns. He told PTI, “Jagadish has died following a suicide attempt. We brought him to hospital, where he was declared dead. Further procedures are underway to know what was the reason. There were no health issues; we are unable to tell you the reason suddenly. This happened today morning.”

“It has no connection with this. That issue has been there for some time now. Business issues are different,” he further added.

Jagadish, who owned a pub in the city, was not only a film producer but also a builder and businessman. Recently, his pub was in the news due to late-night partying by some film personalities and crew, leading to a temporary cancellation of its licence. Jagadish has produced multiple films, including Snehitaru, Appu and Pappu, Mast Maja Maadi, and Ramleela.
