Led by Vishnu Manchu, Kannappa is based on the revered Hindu legend of Kannappa, a devout follower of Lord Shiva. Helmed by director Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by M. Vishnu Manchu

Vishnu Manchu portrays the title role of Kannappa, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva. In South Indian traditions, Kannappa is revered as a devout disciple of Shiva, with his story deeply connected to the Srikalahasteeswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh. According to legend, Kannappa, a former hunter, demonstrated his unwavering devotion by offering his own eyes to a Shiva Lingam, only to be stopped by Shiva himself before he could sacrifice both eyes.

Prabhas

Prabhas will be essaying the role of Rudra in Kannappa.

The actor is clad in the attire of a sage, donning an ochre-hued robe and adorned with multiple beaded necklaces. His lengthy locks frame his face, which is set in a profound and intense expression, perfectly capturing the essence of his character.

Akshay Kumar

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is all set to venture into Telugu cinema with his upcoming film Kannappa. R. Sarathkumar

Veteran actor R. Sarathkumar is set to play the pivotal role of Nathanadhudu in the movie and the recently released poster offers a glimpse into his character. The poster depicts Sarathkumar wielding a sword, exuding power and authority as the chief of the Koyalu Tribe, a lineage born from the union of Bheema Sena and Hidimbi from the Pandavas.
