Karan Aujla is currently on the India leg of his highly-anticipated ‘It Was All A Dream’ tour, which has been making waves globally. Prior to his performances in India, Karan also enthralled the audience in London as part of his UK tour. However, during one of his live concerts, an unfortunate incident occurred that left a sour note. A member of the audience threw a shoe at Karan while he was performing on stage, prompting him to pause the show mid-way.
Addressing this controversy, Karan recently opened up about his journey, his fans, and the moments they share in an interview with NDTV. Reflecting on the incident, Karan emphasized that such behavior is not acceptable in our culture, highlighting the importance of respecting artists and maintaining a positive, enthusiastic atmosphere at concerts.
'All I Ask For Is Respect...': Karan Aujla
Aujla said, “I always believe in treating my fans with respect because they’re the reason I’m here today. I was performing on stage, giving my 100%, and suddenly this happened. You know, as artists, we put our heart and soul into every performance and we want to create memories.”
“This trend of throwing weird things on stage… it’s not in our culture, not our way of showing appreciation. All I ask for is respect – not just for me, but for every artist who gets on that stage,” he further added.
Karan Aujla shared a memorable fan interaction during an interview, recalling a concert in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. He was touched by fans from Chandigarh who traveled through mountain roads to attend his performance. This gesture made him feel his music was truly reaching people's hearts, and he considered it a testament to the impact of his work.
He said, “These people rode all that distance, those mountain roads, just to be there for my performance. That day I felt I was doing something right. These are the moments that tell you your music is actually reaching people’s hearts. This really touched my heart. Sometimes the smallest gestures show you the biggest impact.”
