Kareena Kapoor Khan Says Her Relationship With Sanjay Leela Bhansali Is Like 'Love And War'

Kareena Kapoor Khan has opened up on her relationship dynamics with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The actress recently sat down with Vicky Kaushal in an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter, where they discussed Vicky's upcoming project, Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.

Kareena said, "I am waiting to see you in the Bhansali film. Of course, he is the Sanjay Leela Bhansali and love and war is actually me and Sanjay. You can tell him that. He will understand. We have love and war."

When Vicky Kaushal jokingly asked Kareena Kapoor Khan if their relationship status was "love" or "war," she playfully replied, "We are always fluctuating," and laughed.

About Love & War: Love & War was officially announced in January 2024, with a social media post signed by the lead cast: Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The film's storyline remains under wraps. This project marks Sanjay Leela Bhansali's second collaboration with Alia Bhatt, following 2022's Gangubai Kathiawadi, and also his second with Ranbir Kapoor. Notably, Ranbir made his acting debut with Saawariya in 2007.

“Love and War is something which is every actor’s dream, like to work with brilliant actors like Alia and Vicky, and to be directed under the master Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I worked with him 17 years ago. I haven’t met a human being who worked so hard, who understands characters, emotions, music, Indian culture, and the Indian value system as much as Sanjay Leela Bhansali. To be on his set is tiring, it is long, and the process can be a little daunting, but as an artist, it is satisfying because he nurtures art, and as actors, it’s truly amazing so far,” Ranbir Kapoor told reporters earlier this year, according to a report in HT.
