Alia Bhatt made her acting debut as a lead in Karan Johar's Student of the Year (2012) and quickly gained acclaim for her performances in films like Highway, Raazi and Gully Boy. Apart from acting, the actress has showcased her musical talent in several films, singing tracks like 'Samjhawan' and 'Ik Kudi.' She is recognised for her strong social media presence and advocacy for various causes, including mental health awareness. While her fans appreciate her musical abilities, Kareena Kapoor, her sister-in-law, seems less convinced.
In a promo for Kareena's show, What Women Want, she humourously questioned Alia's singing skills after the latter mentioned her childhood aspirations to sing. "I don’t know if your voice is that good." To this, Alia confidently responded that she can sing in her bathroom. The clip humorously transitions to Shreya Ghoshal, who jokingly urges them to stop, "Band karo ab yeh."

In one clip, Alia was seen singing "Oo Antava," a song originally featuring Samantha and Allu Arjun from the 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise. Alia laughed as she performed the track, while Samantha sat beside her, beaming with delight.
