Kartik Aaryan To Play Prem In Sooraj Barjatya’s Next Feature Film? Here Is What We Know

Renowned filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya has made some evergreen films over the years including Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, Hum Saath - Saath Hain, Vivah, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon to name a few. His last movie Uunchai which was released in 2022 has received a lot of appreciation from the audience as it was based on senior citizens. The movie starred Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa and Sarika Thakur in key roles. There have been speculations that Sooraj Barjatya is in talks with Kartik Aaryan for his next feature film. However, he was all set to team up with Salman Khan for Prem Ki Shaadi but it didn’t work out for the superstar. 

Salman refused to do the movie as he was not interested in doing a romantic movie in this phase of his career. As per reports, Barjatya is looking to start casting for his next movie (which is set in the backdrop of nuclear families). The recent development suggests that he is in a chat with Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan. 

A source revealed to Pinkvilla “Sooraj Barjatya is on look-out for an actor who brings in a sense of innocence on the screen and feels that Kartik has it in him to be the new-age on-screen Prem. The things are in a very preliminary stage at this point of time.”

“Kartik has heard the idea and is interested in doing the film, however, is waiting to hear the complete script before signing the dotted lines. There will be a clear picture on the casting of Sooraj Barjatya’s next by Mid-July, once the full-fledged narration takes place,” the source added.
