The Kpop and Kdrama industries have taken over the globe with its unique content and infinite fanbase. However, South Korean showbiz is not exempt from scandals and controversies like it is in other nations. Here are some famous K-drama people who have faced accusations of bullying, infidelity, drug usage, and more in May 2023:
Black Knight Plagiarism Controversy
Recently released K-drama, titled Black Knight, is based on the same-named webcomic and is set in a dystopian future where there is so much pollution that getting things delivered is the only way to survive. Kim Woo Bin, Song Seung Heon, Esom, and Kang You Seok are among the cast members of the illustrious series. The show dominated headlines after some gamers accused the series of having plagiarized the game “Death Stranding,” which was released in 2019.

In one of the scenes, Bo Ra was seen speaking to Lee Soo Hyuk (played by Yoon Hyun Min) when she said, "In the Auschwitz concentration camp, where people were dying on their excrement, some of them, with a cup of water, drank half of it and washed their face with the rest. They even shaved with a piece of glass using the back of a tray as a mirror. And they survived. Taking care of your appearance and dressing up is a matter of survival."
Reacting to it, Lee Soo Hyuk asked, "It seems you've been doing some reading. From Viktor Frankl's 'Man's Search for Meaning,' right?" But Bo Ra responds with, "I read it in a magazine."
