JE Entertainment Desk: The first Malayalam web series 'Kerala Crime Files' has finally been released on Disney+ Hotstar and the show has intrigued the audience with its mysterious element. Starring Lal and Aju Varghese in lead roles, 'Kerala Crime Files' revolves around a team of six policemen led by Sub-Inspector Manoj who are on a chase to solve a murder in a suburban lodge room.

'Kerala Crime Files' consists of six episodes, 30 minutes each.

Producer Rajul Riji of the series also commented about the project and said, "Being Disney+ Hotstar's first original web series in Malayalam, Kerala Crime Files has been made without compromising on production value and quality. Although the story takes place in the backdrop of Kerala, the making and storytelling of 'Kerala Crime Files' are at par with popular web series in India".

Talking about working on an OTT project, Aju Varghese said, "I started off in movies and then did short films and serials; usually, it’s the other way round. So, the format has never bothered me. My job is to act. The makers of Kerala Crime Files – director Ahammed Khabeer and producer Rahul Riji Nair – chose me to be part of this web series. I have watched both of Ahammed’s films and have also done a small role in June; so, I know how talented he is. I have also worked in Dakini, which is helmed by Rahul, who is a recipient of a National Award and a Kerala State Award."

On the work front, Aju Varghese was last seen in '2018' which became the biggest hit Malayalam film of all time.
