Kesari Chapter 2: Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday are busy promoting their upcoming movie Kesari Chapter 2, which is based on the untold side of the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The historical courtroom drama is set to release in theatres on April 18, 2025. The film is expected to do wonders at the box office, seeing the early reviews from the special screening. Coming back to the promotional part, the three lead actors of the movie, Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday, initially went to the Golden Temple, Amritsar. Today, they visited the real spot of the massacre, Jallianwala Bagh and paid tribute to the victims who lost their lives there in 1919. Joining the team, renowned Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan and popular Bollywood singer B Praak also visited the site.
The makers of the film shared some pictures of the team from their Jallianwala Bagh visit and captured various moments. The makers wrote on Instagram, “From portraying history to standing where it happened. Team #KesariChapter2 at #JallianwalaBagh. In cinemas this Friday, worldwide.”
About Kesari Chapter 2
The story follows the journey of a lawyer and former President of the Indian National Congress C Sankaran Nair, who fought for the real truth behind the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The movie features Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, Ananya Panday, Steven Hartley, Mark Bennington, Sammy Jonas Heaney and Alexx O'Nell in key roles. It has been directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Aruna Bhatia, Adar Poonawalla, Anand Tiwari, Amritpal Singh Bindra.
While sharing the intriguing trailer of the movie, Akshay Kumar wrote on his Instagram account “This is a wound. This is a roar. This… is #KesariChapter2! Trailer out now. Link in bio. In cinemas 18th April, worldwide.”
