Kesari Chapter 2: Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday starrer historical drama hit the silver screens on April 18, marking the 106th anniversary of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, which occurred on April 13, 1919. The much anticipated film of the year Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh, has been getting good reviews from the audience so far. But ahead of the release, Akshay Kumar made a couple of requests to the fans when they watch the films in theatres. Excited to know what he said?
Here are the two steps to follow while watching Kesari Chapter 2 in theatres:
'The first 10 minutes of the film are the most important thing'.
'Avoid checking phone to focus on every dialogue in the film'.
Ahead of the release of the movie, a special screening was held for Bollywood celebrities, where Akshay Kumar made some requests to the audience. He told the media, “When you come to watch this film, don’t miss the beginning. It is one of the most important films. The first 10 minutes of this film are the most important thing. I am sure that this film will reach you through your camera. The people who have decided to watch this film will know that this film has not come late. It has come at the right time. And the 10 minutes of this film starts from there.”
During the Delhi film screening, the actor further added “I humbly request you all to please keep your phones in your pockets and listen to every dialogue of this film. It will mean a lot. If you try to check your Instagram during the movie, it will be a humiliation for the film. So I request everyone to keep their phones away.”
Kesari Chapter 2 talks about the journey of lawyer named C Sankaran Nair, who fight against the British Raj in a legal battle to bring justice to the victims of 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The film also stars Regina Cassandra, Simon Paisley Day, Alexx O'Nell, Amit Sial, Masaba Gupta, Steven Hartley and Krish Rao in supporting roles. It has been written and directed by Karan Singh Tyagi.
