Kim Soo Hyun is all set to captivate audiences once again with his upcoming crime drama Knock Off. The teaser for the highly anticipated series was recently unveiled as part of Disney+ Korea’s 2025 content lineup, giving fans a glimpse of the star in a fresh and intense role.
After winning hearts with his heartfelt performance in Queen of Tears (2024), Kim Soo Hyun is shifting gears to portray a more action-packed and layered character in Knock Off. This black comedy crime drama explores the story of Kim Sung Joon, a man whose life takes a dramatic turn during South Korea's 1997 Asian financial crisis, commonly referred to as the IMF crisis.
Forced to adapt to the economic turmoil, Kim Sung Joon transitions from being an ordinary office worker to becoming the vice president of the global counterfeit market. The gripping narrative promises to showcase Kim Soo Hyun in a dynamic role that blends action, drama and moral dilemmas.

Joining Kim Soo Hyun is the talented Jo Bo Ah, who plays Song Hye Jung, a special judicial police officer tasked with cracking down on counterfeit goods. Adding a layer of complexity to the plot, her character is also Kim Sung Joon's ex-girlfriend, setting the stage for a compelling mix of personal and professional conflicts.

Jo Bo Ah, who recently charmed audiences in Destined With You alongside Rowoon, will showcase a more serious and determined side in Knock Off. The teaser hints at intense chemistry and a gripping rivalry between the two leads, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.
Directed by Park Hyun Suk, known for hits like Song of the Bandits and Uncontrollably Fond, Knock Off is set to be an 18-episode series, released in two parts. The first season will consist of nine episodes, followed by another nine in the second season. While the exact release dates remain under wraps, the series is confirmed to premiere in 2025.
