Shah Rukh Khan has sent his fans into a frenzy with a glimpse of his highly anticipated next project, tentatively titled 'King'. A widely circulated video on social media captures the actor congratulating cinematographer Santosh Sivan on receiving the esteemed Pierre Angenieux Excel Lens award at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. However, what caught the attention of eagle-eyed fans was the script placed on a nearby table, prominently labeled with the title 'KING'.

The excitement soared further as speculations arose about Shah Rukh's daughter Suhana Khan being part of the cast. Twitterati are abuzz with anticipation, eager for more clues about the enigmatic 'King'. A user said, "King script ready hai bhai (fireworks emojis)." Another added "Ready For King." A third commented, "King Khan himself, making the unofficial announcement for the much-awaited 'King' movie. Get ready for another blockbuster."

Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming venture, tentatively titled 'King', will be steered by acclaimed filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh. Adding to the anticipation, Siddharth Anand, the mastermind behind the 2023 blockbuster 'Pathaan', will orchestrate the film's adrenaline-pumping action sequences. Anirudh Ravichander is reportedly onboard for electrifying theme music. Suhana Khan is set to collaborate with her father for the first time on the silver screen. If reports are to be believed, their characters will share a special bond, with Shah Rukh's character taking Suhana's under his wing.

Set to commence filming later this year, 'King' is slated for a potential 2025 release. While Suhana Khan has already made her mark with a debut in Zoya Akhtar's Netflix film, 'The Archies', her role in 'King' is poised to be her silver screen debut.

According to Pinkvilla, it was revealed, "Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh have been constantly in touch with Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan with multiple meetings from October 2023 to February 2024. Sujoy is meticulously working on the script with Sid and SRK. Designing world-class action sequences rests fully on Siddharth. The flavour of action in King will be very different from what SRK has done in Pathaan and Jawan. This one would be sleek, with a lot of chase sequences. However, the core plot is emotional and driven by the story. It has lots of twists and turns, which is the reason why Sujoy has been bestowed with the responsibility of direction."
