Kolai OTT Release:

The movie just released in the theatres and the buzz around its OTT release has already started. According to OTTplay, Amazon Prime has bagged its digital rights to 'Kolai' and the movie is likely to release on OTT in the second or third week of August.

Directed by Balaji Kumar, the action choreography of 'Kolai' is helmed by Mahesh Mathew, whereas, K Aarusamy has handled art direction. Selva RK and Ramesh Acharya helmed with the editing and VFX supervision respectively. Apart from Vijay Antony, the movie also stars Ritika Singh, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Radikaa Sarathkumar, and Murli Sharma.

On the work front, Vijay Antony was last seen in 'Pichaikaran 2'. Talking about the film, he said, "But I can’t make another Pichaikkaran 1. They’ll hate it for being so similar to the first one, and making an entirely different film won’t render any comparisons. Expecting a Pichaikkaran-like film is not their mistake, so I have to do something different while also satisfying them.”

He added, “The emotional beats, for instance, is something I ensured this project has too. The original Pichaikkaran’s idea — in a world where even a little money can change people, a rich man hides his wealth and shows so much compassion — worked because of the writing of these emotional beats.”

Earlier, he revealed that he would love to direct Mahesh Babu for his next film. "I Know Bichagadu 2 is already a blockbuster and this is my first directorial film, After this, I wanted to make films with other heroes, In Telugu I would like to direct Mahesh Babu,” he said.

Vijay Antony will star in 'Agni Siragugal', 'Ratham', 'Mazhai Pidikatha' and 'Valli Mayil'.
