Kpop snubbed at 2025 Grammy Nominations: The landscape of Kpop in the United States has undergone a remarkable transformation since BTS made history in 2021 as the first Kpop group to receive a Grammy nomination. However, BTS, composed of seven members- V, Jungkook, Jimin, Jhope, Jin, Suga and RM, who have given back to back hits, has been snubbed from 2025 Grammy nominations, which came as a shock to Kpop fans. Not only BTS, no Kpop idol or group has been nominated for Grammys 2025.
Over the past few years, the Kpop genre has experienced unprecedented growth and success, giving rise to stadium-filling acts such as Tomorrow X Together, Blackpink, and Seventeen.
Additionally, individual artists like Lisa, also known as Lalisa Manobal, have broken through with solo endeavors, captivating global audiences with hits like Rockstar and New Woman. Moreover, BTS members Jung Kook and RM have explored solo projects, releasing Golden and Right Place, Wrong Person, respectively.
Despite this remarkable progress, the Grammy Awards continue to overlook Kpop's most prominent names, leaving many fans and industry observers perplexed. The absence of nominations for these talented artists raises questions about the Grammys' recognition and representation of diverse musical genres.
Kpop artists who submitted their entries for the 2025 Grammys:
Jimin
Tarhyung
Jungkook
RM
J-Hope
Lisa

Stray Kids
Not only Kpop artists, but several other big artists were snubbed at the Grammy Nominations 2025. The big names include Dolly Parton, Justin Timberlake, Lenny Kravitz, Luke Combs and more.
