Kpop Songs Copied In Bollywood: Have you ever listened to a song and felt that the beats sounded strangely familiar? This might be because they were borrowed from other popular tracks. There are several Bollywood songs that K-pop fans immediately recognised as sounding very similar to their favourite Kpop hits. Here are a few examples where the resemblance was too strong to ignore.
Kpop Songs Copied In Bollywood
Pehli Nazar Mein (Copied from Sarang Hae Yo)
Bollywood musicians have faced plagiarism accusations before, and social media users have now noticed similarities between Atif Aslam's ‘Pehli Nazar Mein’ from the film ‘Race’ and the Korean song ‘Sarang Hae Yo’ by Kim Hyung Sup.
Sher Khul Gaye (Dynamite)
BTS fans observed that ‘Fighter’ song ‘Sher Khul Gaye’ bore a striking resemblance to the K-Pop supergroup's song ‘Dynamite’. The discussion about these similarities emerged after Instagram user Mayur Jumani shared a video mash-up of the two tracks. This mix accentuated the similarities in their melodies, surprising many fans.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Title Track
The song ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 - Title Track’ is a recreation of the title track from the 2007 film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ by Neeraj Shridhar and Sameer. It was previously recreated for the 2017 film ‘Commando 2’ as ‘Hare Krishna Hare Ram’, sung by Armaan Malik, Raftaar, and Ritika, and composed by Gourov-Roshin.
Zaalima (Eyes, Nose, Lips)
The 2017 song, performed by Harshdeep Kaur and Arijit Singh, features Shah Rukh Khan and Mahira Khan in its music video. Given that Pritam is associated with the song, it came as no surprise that it bears a striking resemblance to Taeyang's 2014 Korean hit ‘Eyes, Nose, Lips’. The similarities between the two tracks are so apparent that many listeners have pointed out the blatant copying. Despite its catchy tune and star-studded video, the song faced criticism for its lack of originality and clear borrowing from the K-pop genre.
