In a shocking turn of events, K-pop singer Haesoo died at the age of 29. According to the reports, Haesoo died by suicide and the police have recovered a suicide note as well. The news of her death was made public two days after authorities claimed that a singer's body had been discovered in her hotel room. The singer's identity was suppressed by the police. However, the South Korean news site YTN stated on May 15 that she had passed away.

The shocking news came ahead of the K-pop singer's performance at a festival on May 20. According to a report by Koreaboo, a suicide note was recovered but the police have not yet revealed what's written in it.

Who was Haesoo?

Haesoo was a female trot singer, known for her unique voice and musical talent. Born in 1993, she majored in Pansori, a type of Korean traditional music, at the Korea National University of Arts. After listening to the songs from singer Joo Hyun Mi, she developed an interest in trot.

In 2019, Haesoo released her first mini-album titled 'My life, Me' in 2019 and continued to release her second album in 2021. She also appeared in entertainment programmes like Gayo Stage, Morning Yard, The Trot Show, How Do You Play, and KBS TV2’s Lunar New Year special in January 2023.
