Laapataa Ladies Title Change

The name of Laapataa Ladies has been changed, as announced by the Instagram handle of Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao’s production house. The movie has now been named Lost Ladies. The announcement read, “The wait is over! Presenting the official poster for Lost Ladies—a glimpse into the wild, heartfelt journey of Phool and Jaya! Kiran Rao's movie Laapataa Ladies earns the esteemed distinction of representing the country in the Best International Feature Film category at the 97th Academy Awards. This critically acclaimed film masterfully balances humour and heart, conveying a compelling social message that resonates deeply. The selection is a testament to Indian cinema's growing global influence and a proud moment for the nation's filmmaking community, as the movie vies for international recognition alongside the world's most exceptional cinematic achievements.

Chef Vikas Khanna hosted a special screening of Laapataa Ladies in New York. Khanna wrote on social media, “Jab dil se Dua atti hai, ‘Jeet lo duniya’. This is exactly what I felt yesterday when we were hosting Oscar Campaigning event of Lost Ladies (Laapataa Ladies) at Bungalow. Kiran you are a true artist to create such an iconic film.”
