According to Sacnilk, 'Leo' had an impressive run during its initial six days at the box office, amassing a net total of Rs 249.80 Cr in India. The movie is estimated to have earned Rs 12.50 Cr in net collections on its seventh day for all languages, bringing the cumulative collection to Rs 262.30 Cr.

On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, 'Leo' recorded a total Tamil occupancy of 34.71%, a total Telugu occupancy of 29.22%, and a total Hindi occupancy of 10.34%.
Talking about casting Trisha and Vijay together in the film, director Lokesh Kanagaraj told the media, "Trisha was my first choice for 'Leo'. Because I wanted someone who looks like a real family with Thalapathy Vijay. They are a couple in their 40s and have two children in the movie. Their chemistry comes across as most natural on-screen. I needed that to make the movie and the emotions as authentic as possible."

He further said, "I’m usually not a good writer of romance in movies. But I have done a good job this time in Leo concerning romance scenes. Both Vijay and Trisha performed well in romance sequences. Two scenes will stand out for their performance."
