This election cycle, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has notably placed Arun Govil, famed for his role as Ram in the television series ‘Ramayan’, in the Meerut constituency. To further enhance their roster with celebrity allure, the BJP has confirmed the candidacies of Bhojpuri cinema star Ravi Kishan and Bollywood icon Hema Malini, affectionately known as the "Dream Girl." Both are standing for re-election in their respective seats of Gorakhpur and Mathura, continuing their political journeys which blend cinematic fame with electoral politics.

Moreover, the political scene was stirred with another high-profile entry that has captured the attention of both the public and those within the entertainment industry. Rupali Ganguly, a well-known film and television actress, has recently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in Delhi.
