Kareena Kapoor made an impressive OTT debut with her latest Netflix film 'Jaane Jaan'. Based on the Japanese novel 'The Devotion Of Suspect X', the movie revolves around a single mother, who gets caught in a crime investigation. Her situation becomes serious when a relentless cop digs into the case but her neighbour, a gifted math teacher, tries to help her. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the movie also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma. The Indian film industry has produced several excellent murder mystery films similar to 'Jaane Jaane'.

3. Raat Akeli Hai
'Raat Akeli Hai' stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Radhika Apte in the lead roles with Shweta Tripathi, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Shivani Raghuvanshi, Nishant Dahiya, Gyanendra Tripathi, Ila Arun, Swanand Kirkire, Nitesh Kumar Tiwari and Aditya Srivastava in pivotal roles. The movie focuses on a newly married landlord, who gets murdered and how the case is investigated by a misfit cop trying to unravel the truth from the victim's secretive family. The movie is streaming on Netflix.
4. Manorama Six Feet Under
'Manorama Six Feet Under' stars Abhay Deol, Raima Sen and Gul Panag in the lead roles. The movie revolves around Satyaveer trying to find proof of Manorama's husband's extramarital affair. Manorama's husband happens to be an irrigation minister and Satyaveer unravels several haunting hidden truths during his investigation. The movie is streaming on Prime Video.
5. Drishyam
'Drishyam' revolves around Georgekutty, who is living happily with his wife and daughters. Things turn upside down for his family when his daughter commits an accidental crime and Georgekutty does everything to protect him and his family. The movie stars Mohanlal and Meena in the lead roles with Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Asha Sharath, Siddique, Roshan Basheer and Neeraj Madhav in supporting roles. The sequel 'Drishyam 2' was also released in 2021. The movie is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
