Sivakarthikeyan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming superhero film 'Maaveeran' and its intriguing plot has left the audience excited. Vijay Sethupathi and Ravi Teja have also joined the star cast of 'Maaveeran' but with a twist. Sivakarthikeyan has officially announced that Vijay Sethupathi and Ravi Teja will be the narrator in the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film respectively.

Thanking Vijay Sethupathi for being part of 'Maaveeran', Sivakarthikeyan wrote, "My dear brother @VijaySethuOffl thank you for your kind gesture."

The Telugu version of 'Maaveeran' is called 'Mahaveerudu' and welcoming Ravi Teja to the team, Sivakarthikeyan tweeted, "@RaviTeja_offl Sir, It’s a great pleasure to have your energetic voice in our film and thank you so much for your support to the #Mahaveerudu team, sir."

'Maaveeran' will release on July 14. The movie was supposed to release on August 11 but the makers decide to shift the release date.

It was earlier rumoured that the shooting of 'Maaveeran' has been stalled. Addressing these reports and rumours, the makers of 'Maaveeran' called them 'baseless and false'. Production House 'Shanthi Talkies' tweeted, "Baseless rumours and false news keeps on circulating online constantly about Maaveeran... We request you to not believe them... Team #Maaveeran is working progressively to deliver a memorable film... #VeerameJeyam".

At an event, Sivakarthikeyan talked about the box office failure of 'Prince'. He said, "When my films fail at the box office, I take full responsibility. When the film is a hit, then the credit must go to the entire team."

Directed and written by Madonne Ashwin, the movie is titled 'Maaveeran' in Tamil and 'Mahaveerudu' in Telugu. It is produced by Arun Viswa and the music is composed by Bharath Sankar. The title of the movie is inspired by Superstar Rajinikanth's film of the same name, which was released in 1986.
