Maharaja Box Office Report (China): Vijay Sethupathi starrer Tamil movie rocked the Chinese box office as it set several new records for Indian Cinema. However, the film failed to enter USD 11 million. The movie picked a slow pace at the ticket windows after the action thriller entered its third week of release. For the unversed, Maharaja hit the silver screens on November 29. The movie received wide recognition worldwide. Notably, it earned more than its India collection.

As per Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 0.20 crore (USD 0.02 million) on day 31. The total China collection of Maharaja stands at Rs 91.55 crore (USD 10.80 million). The worldwide collection of the movie is Rs 199.10 crore and the overseas collection is Rs 115.60 crore. The India net collection of Maharaja is Rs 72.43 crore.

About Maharaja 

The story revolves around a barber whose life turned upside down after his daughter went through a heinous crime. He seeks revenge in an unusual way for his daughter. The movie features Vijay Sethupathi, Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, Sachana Namidass, Divyabharathi and Singampuli in key roles. It has been directed by Nithilan Saminathan and produced by Jagadish Palanisamy and Sudhan Sundaram. The film was released in Indian theatres on June 14, 2024. It is currently streaming on the popular OTT platform Netflix.
