'Maidaan' has experienced several delays since its initial announcement. However, the movie has now been postponed once again. 'Maidaan' delves into the life and adventures of Syed Abdul Rahim, a respected football coach renowned for his significant impact on the sport in India. His remarkable contributions earned the Indian Football Team the nickname "Brazil of Asia," showcasing their prowess while playing in a 4-2-4 formation.

Maidaan Postponed, Check New Release Date

Maidaan will now hit the theatres on April 11, 2024. Ajay Devgn announced the same via his Instagram handle and wrote, "Mark your calendars! #Maidaan release across cinemas in India on 10th April, with special previews starting 6pm onwards.Full scale release to follow on the Eid holiday on 11th April. 🇮🇳 Reserve your seats now!"

Principal photography for the movie began on 19 August 2019. However, it faced significant delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Cyclone Nisarga, ultimately wrapping up in May 2022. Originally, the film was slated to hit theaters on 3 June 2022, but this was postponed due to ongoing post-production tasks. Subsequently, the release date was rescheduled for 23 June 2023, but once again, the movie faced another delay.

The music for the film is crafted by the talented A. R. Rahman, with the lyrics penned by Manoj Muntashir. The first song, "Mirza," made its debut on 18 March 2024, setting the tone for the movie's musical journey. Following that, the second single, "Team India Hain Hum," was unveiled on 27 March 2024, adding another layer of melody and excitement to the film's soundtrack.

If the reports are to be believed, days after its theatrical release, the movie will be available to watch online on Amazon Prime Video.
