Mammootty's team debunks cancer rumours: Rumours had been circulating on social media that South superstar Mammootty had been diagnosed with cancer and would be taking a break from acting. However, his team has stepped in to dismiss these speculations, assuring fans that Mammootty is doing perfectly fine. In a statement to Midday, Mammootty's team said, “It is fake news. He is on vacation because he is fasting for Ramzan. He is on a break from his shoot schedule as well because of that. In fact, after the break he will go back to shooting for Mahesh Narayanan’s film with Mohanlal.”

Fans are eagerly awaiting Mahesh Narayanan's upcoming film, which will reunite superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal on screen after several years. The film, tentatively titled MMM, also stars Fahadh Faasil. Meanwhile, Mammootty is riding high on the success of his recent films, including Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, for which he won his 15th Filmfare Award.

Dominic has been generating significant buzz among audiences. The film's narrative revolves around the titular character, Dominic, a former cop turned struggling detective, who unwittingly gets entangled in a complex web of conspiracy. The story takes an intriguing turn when Dominic agrees to take on a seemingly straightforward task - finding the owner of a lost purse. However, as he delves deeper into the mystery, he discovers that the purse is merely a tip of the iceberg, leading him to unravel a much larger and more sinister conspiracy. 

The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Gokul Suresh, Lena, Siddique, Vijay Babu, and Viji Venkatesh, all of whom bring their A-game to the thriller. Notably, Dominic is produced by the legendary Mammootty himself, under his production banner, Mammootty Kampany.

The film, initially titled Production No: 6, was officially announced in July 2024 as the sixth venture of Mammootty Kampany. Principal photography began in Kochi that September, with music by Darbuka Siva and cinematography by Vishnu Dev. The film, later titled Dominic, released on January 23, 2025, and received mixed reviews from critics.
