Manjummel Boys Box Office Collection: 'Manjummel Boys' hit the theatres on February 22, 2024. Audiences and critics alike showered the movie with overwhelmingly positive reviews. The movie has now made history in the world of Malayalam cinema by becoming the highest-earning film in India, surpassing the previous record held by the disaster drama '2018.' This remarkable achievement was reached when the film grossed around Rs. 3.75 crore on its third Monday, bringing its total earnings to an impressive Rs. 108.50 crore.

The film follows their journey as they grapple with this unforeseen challenge, exploring themes of friendship, resilience, and the unpredictable twists of fate.

Manjummel Boys OTT Release

Despite being the highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2024 and one of the top-grossing Indian films of the year, "Manjummel Boys," which received glowing reviews upon its release, is facing a challenge in securing streaming rights from OTT platforms. According to industry tracker and analyst Sreedhar Pillai, OTT platforms are reluctant to pay the demanded price of Rs. 20 crore for the rights.

"Just a few months ago, OTT rights were considered highly profitable for Malayalam film producers. However, this seems to have changed. There are currently no buyers for the OTT rights of the immensely successful blockbuster 'Manjummel Boys' due to the producers' asking price of ₹20 crore," Pillai tweeted. He questioned whether the "OTT bubble" has burst.
