Ghooskhor Pandat makers were caught in a legal web for allegedly offending people with the title name and its content. Lead actor Manoj Bajpayee issued a clarification on the matter, soon after filmmaker Neeraj Pandey penned a lengthy note on social media.
Manoj Bajpayee said he has taken people's 'emotions' and 'concerns' very seriously in order to examine where they might have gone wrong. The actor stated that he portrayed a 'flawed' character in the movie and that it wasn't intended to make any remarks about any community.
Manoj Bajpayee wrote on X (earlier Twitter), "I respect the emotions and concerns people have shared, and I take them seriously. When something you are part of causes hurt to some people, it makes you pause and listen. As an actor, I come to a film through the character and the story I am playing. For me, this was about portraying a flawed individual and his journey of self-realisation. This was not meant to be a statement about any community."

Manoj Bajpayee concluded, saying that the filmmakers have decided to take down the promotional material, in light of the public sentiment. The actor's note came shortly after filmmaker Neeraj Pandey issues a statement stating that Ghooskhor Pandat doesn't comment on any religion, caste or community.

The Hazratganj Police Station in Lucknow got numerous objections regarding the movie's title, which prompted the filing of a formal complaint. According to officials, some found it offensive, which raised questions about possible unrest.
