The world is still reeling from the devastating loss of beloved Friends star Matthew Perry, who tragically passed away on October 28, 2023, leaving an unfillable void in the hearts of his fans, friends and family members. As the world continues to grapple with the shock of his untimely demise, a new documentary on Peacock is set to offer a look at the life of this talented actor, exploring the complexities and challenges he faced before his accidental overdose, resulting in his untimely demise.

According to a report in People, the autopsy report confirmed that Matthew's system contained alarmingly high levels of ketamine, a substance that played a fatal role in his passing. In a shocking revelation, the documentary claims that in the final three days of his life, Matthew received a staggering 27 shots of ketamine, a harrowing detail that sheds new light on the circumstances surrounding his tragic death.

Martin Estrada, the former United States Attorney for the State of California Central District, said in the documentary, “Allegedly, you have Dr Salvador Plasencia providing ketamine to a live-in assistant who has no medical training whatsoever and that live-in assistant is administering ketamine to a person whose risk factors are through the roof.”

As reported by People, Estrada said, "Allegedly, Dr Plasencia would arrange with Mr Perry different locations to meet to provide the ketamine. On one occasion, they meet in a parking lot in Long Beach and he administers, in the back of a car, ketamine. Doctors are not supposed to inject people in the back of parking lots.” "A trained doctor like Dr Plasencia knew much better," shared Estrada, adding, "One of the overall themes of our indictment is that all these defendants should have known better. They were taking advantage of an individual and letting their greed drive them to endanger Mr Perry's life.”

Perry had a severe reaction to the medication at the time, and prosecutors believe that Plasencia witnessed Perry "freeze up" but did nothing to intervene. Estrada claimed that despite this, Plasencia continued to provide ketamine to Perry’s live-in assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, who ultimately administered the fatal dose to Perry. The ketamine was supplied by a woman referred to as "The Ketamine Queen," Jasveen Sangha, according to reports from People.

For the unversed, Matthew Perry passed away on October 28, 2023, due to a drowning incident. Toxicology reports revealed ketamine in his system, leading to charges against five individuals, including his assistant and two doctors, for distributing the drugs. The case is ongoing, with the next trial set for March 4, 2025.
