Megastar Chiranjeevi and veteran actress Vyjayanthimala Bali have been conferred with Padma Vibhushan in the field of art from President Droupadi Murmu. This prestigious ceremony was held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi on Thursday. Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan, who is a superstar, also attended the event along with Upasana Kamineni.

Chiranjeevi expressed his gratitude after receiving this special honour. He told ANI, "After hearing this news, I became speechless. I'm really overwhelmed. I am humbled and grateful for this honour. It's only the unconditional and invaluable love of the people, audiences, fans, my blood brothers and blood sisters that allowed me to reach here. I owe my life and this moment to you. I always try to express my gratitude in ways that I can, though I know I can never do enough."

In the ceremony, Vyjayantimala looked beautiful and elegant in a yellow saree.

On the work front, Chiranjeevi was last seen in 'Bhola Shankar' along with Tamannaah Bhatia, Keerthy Suresh and Sushanth. The movie did not work well at the box office. He will also star in 'Mega 157'. He will team up with Trisha for the movie 'Vishwambhara', which will be written and directed by Mallidi Vassishta.

Talking about Vyjayanthimala, she made her on-screen debut in 1949 at the age of 16 with the movie 'Vazhkai'. She is regarded as the first female superstar of India. She became one of the most popular actresses in Tamil and Telugu cinema and later established herself as one of the most successful actresses in Bollywood.

She made her Bollywood debut in 1951 in 'Bahar'. Her last film was 'Ganwaar', which released in 1970.
