Mission Raniganj OTT Release Date: Watch Akshay Kumar’s Heroic Tale On THIS Streaming Platform Post Theatrical Release

Akshay Kumar is currently basking in the success of his recent release ‘OMG 2’ alongside Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam. The actor is back with another heroic biopic which hit theatres today, October 6. Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra led ‘Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue’ has already opened up to receive positive reviews from the public and critics for Akshay Kumar’s realistic and emotional portrayal of mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill.

With the film slating the theatres on October 6, Netflix India has already claimed the OTT rights of the film. ‘Mission Raniganj’ will stream on Netflix post its theatrical run. The official OTT release date of the film is yet to be announced, however after a couple of months post its theatrical run, the film will be available to stream online.

In the film, Parineeti Chopra has a 10-minute extended special appearance as the film is purely based on the tragic 1989 mining incident in Raniganj Coalfields, with the death toll to be around 6 mining workers. Amidst the mess, Jaswant Singh Gill, risked his own life and saved the lives of hundreds of workers stuck inside the mine in clogged water.

The film also features Kumud Mishra and Pavan Malhotra in pivotal roles, and is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai.
