Movies Based On Articles Of Indian Constitution To Watch On OTT:  Republic Day marks the adaptation of India’s constitution and the nation’s transition to a republic on January 26, 1950. As R-Day is approaching, the patriotic spirit across the nation is getting higher. To celebrate the day, we have brought you a list of movies based on articles of the Indian constitution that you can watch on OTT. From films like Aarakshan to Article 15, everything to watch on Netflix, Prime Video, Disney + Hotstar, Zee5 and other streaming platforms. 

Article 15 (Netflix)

The story showcases the rural heartlands of the country, where an honest police officer sets out on a crusade against violent caste-based crimes and discrimination. The movie stars Isha Talwar, Ayushmann Khurrana, Sayani Gupta, Sumbul Touqeer and Manoj Pahwa in key roles.


Aarakshan (Prime Video)

The story focuses on the scenario when the decision by the Supreme Court to establish caste-based reservations for jobs in education causes conflict between a teacher and his mentor. The film is based on Article 16. The movie stars Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Manoj Bajpayee, Deepika Padukone and Prateik Babbar in significant roles. 


Jolly LLB (Disney + Hotstar)

The story revolves around a small-time lawyer, who files a PIL for an infamous hit-and-run. The movie is based on Article 21 (it guarantees the fundamental right to protection of life and personal liberty). The film features Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla, Boman Irani, Amrita Rao and Sanjay Mishra in significant roles. 


Satyagraha (Prime Video)

The film is based on Article 19 (which protects six fundamental rights of citizens including freedom speech and expression, freedom to assemble peacefully, freedom to form associations or unions, freedom to move freely, freedom to reside and settle, freedom to practice a profession). It showcases the protagonist's interpret the Right to Assembly as a means to take a dangerous nexus of politicians to make their points. The film features Ajay Devgn, Arjun Rampal, Amitabh Bachchan, Manoj Bajpayee and Kareena Kapoor. 


Article 370 (Netflix)

The film showcases the political scenario when the government decided to revoke Article 370 of the Constitution. The movie stars Yami Gautam, Kiran Karmarkar, Priyamani, Vaibhav Tatwawadi and Iravati Harshe in significant roles. It is based on revocation of Article 370 (the article grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir).
