Mufasa Box Office Collection Day 11: Mufasa: The Lion King is setting the internet ablaze with its phenomenal performance at the box office. With the help of Shah Rukh Khan and Mahesh Babu, the musical adventure has surpassed the Rs 100 crore mark in India.

Mufasa: The Lion King has a big following in India despite having trouble at the US box office. Disney's animated movie has been effective in drawing audiences to theatres since its premiere. The Lion King's prequel started the first day with Rs 7 crore and concluded the first weekend at about Rs 32 crore and the first week at Rs 62.50 crore nett.

Even in its second weekend, Mufasa: The Lion King maintained its strong box office performance. For a total of Rs 107.1 crore, it made Rs 6 crore on Day 8, Rs 9.50 crore on Day 9, almost Rs 11 crore on Day 10, and Rs 5.4 crore on Day 11.

Even though Mufasa: The Lion King fell short of expectations, it was nevertheless able to draw in viewers thanks to the voices of two legendary figures - Shah Rukh Khan and Mahesh Babu, in the Hindi and Telugu dubbings, respectively. 

Mufasa vs The Lion King Box Office Report

 In India, the box office revenue for Disney's adaptation of The Lion King has surpassed Rs 150 crore. After earning Rs 11 crore in the fourth week, Rs 2 crore in the fifth, Rs 1 crore in the sixth, and Rs 20 lakh in the seventh, the movie's total earnings in India came to Rs 158.40 crore.

Disney made use of actor Shah Rukh Khan, who voiced Simba in the Hindi dubbing of the movie, and his real-life son Aryan to voice Mufasa. Among others, Donald Glover, Beyonce, Seth Rogen, and Chiwetel Ejiofor provide voices in the original English version.

The movie has made $328 million or Rs 2800 crore, worldwide. Barry Jenkins, who notably directed the critically acclaimed drama Moonlight in 2016, is the director of Mufasa: The Lion King. Its voice actors include Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, Donald Glover, Billy Eichner, John Kani, Seth Rogen, Aaron Pierre, and Kelvin Harrison Jr.
