Prime Video’s original creation ‘Mumbai Diaries’ is making a promising return on October 6. The series will narrate the tale of doctors and healthcare professionals during the aftermath of the 2008 Mumbai attacks and their challenges. The makers of the film unveiled the first posters of the series on September 26, and announced the official teaser on September 27 which looks highly intense and intriguing.

Sharing the first posters on X (formerly known as Twitter), Prime Video wrote, “Brace yourselves, a storm is about to hit. #MumbaiDiariesOnPrime, coming soon.” In the poster the actors can be seen submerged in water with their half faces above the water level and intensely looking at the camera.

On September 27, Prime Video released the official teaser of the series which showcases the struggles of the doctors, trainees, and staff of Bombay General Hospital dealing with the aftermath of the Mumbai terror attacks and their personal challenges that follow. Juxtaposing it against the devastation brought by the Mumbai floods. The intricately woven narrative tells a gripping tale of human spirit and perseverance in the face of diversity.

Talking about the series, Nikkhil Advani said, “Mumbai Diaries is an intricately woven medical drama that explores the trials and triumphs of our frontline workers and the heroes of the medical community. After the overwhelming love and acclaim received for Mumbai Diaries 26/11, we’ve upped the stakes this season for our protagonists as they’re faced with challenges that will test them on all fronts.”

The series stars Konkona Sen Sharma, Mohit Raina, Tina Desai, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Satyajeet Dubey, Natasha Bharadwaj, Mrunmayee Deshpande and Prakash Belawadi in pivotal roles. The show is produced by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani. The first season had eight episodes, whereas the second season is likely to feature the same number of episodes.
