Munjya Box Office Collection Day 2: The film starring Sharvari Wagh-Abhay Verma, has made an impressive debut at the box office, netting around Rs 4 crore on its first day. The film has performed exceptionally well across various regions, largely due to its genre appeal and lower ticket prices. Despite the affordable pricing, the collections have surpassed expectations. The film saw a notable increase in collections on Saturday, indicating positive momentum. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Munjya introduces a character from Konkan coast folklore as the first CGI main character in a Hindi film.

Munjya had a strong start at the box office, earning an estimated Rs 4.00 crore net in India on its first day, including previews. On its second day, the film continued to perform exceptionally well, with early estimates indicating a net collection of Rs 6.75 crore in India. This brings the total to Rs 10.75 crore net, according to Sacnilk. On Saturday, June 8, 2024, Munjya had an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 30.99%, with the breakdown as follows: Morning Shows at 13.79%, Afternoon Shows at 28.81%, Evening Shows at 34.84%, and Night Shows at 46.53%.

Estimated to have been made on a budget of Rs 30 crore, including prints and advertising (P&A), has been released on approximately 1,000 screens.
About Munjya
Set in 1952, Munjya begins with a tale of forbidden love. A young Brahmin boy desperately tries to win Munni's affection despite his family's strong disapproval. Tragedy strikes during a perilous jungle ritual, leading to the boy's untimely death and his burial under a haunted tree, setting the stage for the spine-chilling events that follow.
Written by Yogesh Chandekar, 'Munjya' also stars Mona Singh and Sathyaraj. It takes audiences on a gripping journey through love, loss, and horror, offering a unique narrative that transcends genre boundaries. Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, the film stands out as a rare gem in the genre-bending landscape of cinema, seamlessly blending horror and comedy for a unique and memorable experience.
